This website enables education researchers to find schools easily using a range of criteria. When they've found a group of schools they want they can save their searches into result groups which are similar to shopping carts. The data came from a federal database with arcane column names and data values - the majority of this project was spent creating converters to parse, clean and remap the database from the federal format into a more useful one. You can add and remove search criteria interactively to find tune your results. Another uncommon feature is search using greater than, less than or equal to for number comparison. The interface design is clean and easy to understand for first time users. |
